My Collection all started in November of 2012.

My Daughter had asked for an American Girl Doll for almost 2 years and I finally broke down and decided she was ready to take care of such an expensive doll.  She had wanted KIT so bad and I thought to myself .... "really out of all the dolls that's the one she wants?"  Well I wanted to surprise her for Christmas and ordered her early to make sure she was here in plenty of time. When Kit arrived I was pleasantly surprised on the quality of her. We had purchased similar 18" dolls from the Alexander brand and there is NO COMPARISON!!

The American Girl Doll was top quality in my opinion and their hair was almost real like. Looking Kit over I thought hum, "she is kinda cute"  :) .... the more I looked at her I found myself falling in love with her.  So I went online and viewed the American Girl Doll site and soon learned they had a collection just for me!!

I fell in LOVE with Caroline Abbott from 1812... this was the doll for me.  Since the holiday was almost here I thought I will get her after the New Year.  In the mean time I kept looking thru the Catalog that came in the box with Kit in my room at night, as I couldn't let my daughter see it to know I was interested in them. I didn't want her to have any idea that she may get a doll for Christmas. :)

As I kept looking over and over thru the catalog I started to like the collection of Marie-Grace & Cecile from 1853.  To my luck the Today Show offered a sale on them and I couldn't pass on it.  So I went all out and ordered both dolls.  Oh, when they came my daughter was like "you got yourself American Girl Dolls?"  I told her they were mine and she could look at them but they weren't for play, just to put on the shelf.  I think she was kinda happy, but still wish of one of her own!

(Part of the photo's and story line were used from the AG Website. They are not mine and no copy rite was intended)
